Guess what I did this morning for the first time in forever? Went for a run! Well, it was more of an extremely slow jog since it’s been a looong time, but at least I got out.

The reason for the run is the beginning of a certain season that’s been sneaking up fast on me…

Yup, triathlon season is right around the corner and the only shape I feel in is round. I haven’t had much motivation because I still have no idea where I’m going to be working for the summer, so I haven’t had been able to sign up for any races yet, and not having a concrete date to look forward to in my head hasn’t really pushed me to jump into training. Running is my least favourite leg to train for, so usually sleep ends up being a lot more appealing than going for a morning run.

Breakfast was worth the wait, though. I bought a few grapefruits last week, and finally cut one up this morning. When I was little I always thought they were so cool because it was like cereal, where everything (the bowl, the cereal, and the milk) was made of grapefruit. I kind of still have the same opinion, bahaha.

And some raisin toast with earth balance. Raisin toast > normal toast

I didn’t think I had much in the way of lunch supplies, but I managed to put together a pretty decent lunch – rice, spicy tuna salad and a fried egg.

I had come celery, grapes, and japanese cream-filled biscuits on the side. I also ended up grabbing a slice of pizza at school that I couldn’t resist, and then proceeded to have the longest nap ever when I got home from class.

I think it was the lack of caffeine in the morning that made me so sleepy, so after my nap I grabbed an iced coffee to keep me awake for homework.

I still wasn’t very hungry, so dinner was just some leftover rice + spicy tina, and seaweed on the side.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a date with a heat and mass assignment and a huge load of laundry. At least I have the morning off of class tomorrow!
