Hello!
My name’s Callie, and I’m a 21-year-old chemical engineering student that fell in love with the world of food.
About two years ago I began the journey toward a better lifestyle, and now I focus on eating foods that are both healthy and delicious. I’ve never gone to school for culinary arts, nutrition or journalism – I’m simply an ordinary girl cooking for the joy of it.
Some of the my cooking is Asian-inspired because I travelled to Japan 5 years ago and it had a very big impact on my life, some of it is influenced by Chef Michael Smith because he has been my kitchen idol since I began watching his show years ago, and most of it involves some kind of chocolate. Because chocolate makes everything better.
Thank you for following my adventures in the kitchen! ♥

I can’t decide whether to create my own food blog or not, just cause I don’t think I’ll have time.. But maybe one day! Keep it up!!!

Thank you! Food blogging is definitely a pretty big time commitment, but if it’s something you think you’d enjoy I’d say go for it because I always have a blast blogging

Callie,
I just found your blog about a week or so ago. I found it through Oh She Glows blog and I love your blog. I love how you are down to earth and straight forward about things. I am also a twenty year old college student that is starting my first REAL job in about a week and I was wondering how you balance it all. Also, do you live where you go to school year round or do you spend some time at home and the school year at your university?? I am confused from this weekend being that your home and all!!
Keep blogging, cause I’m loving it!!

Love your blog
I especially like the pretty cupcake you have pictured in the header! Did you take that pic yourself?

Thank you very much! I didn’t actually take the picture, it’s from the Martha Stewart website. Even though I love the cupcake, I’m hoping to get a more original header sometime in the future

Wow! So excited to see the food world of a fellow ChemE!!! The program definitely does not make it easy for the students to take care of themselves (at least such was/is mine). Looks like you’re doing an great job tho!
All of your foods looks delish!

Great blog! I stumbled upon it after googling ‘the fiddlehead’ – I’m drinking one right now and am trying to remember what is in it.
Don’t know how you have time to keep up with this and study engineering, lol – I’m an engineer too but I graduated over 10 years ago. Good luck with your schooling – it’s really a great field to be in, I absolutely love being an engineer.
