Good morning!
For the first time in a while, I had a wonderful and relaxing Monday morning. This is the first day of the two week vacation I have before school begins in September, and I plan on doing a whoooole lotta nothing with my free time
That’s actually not entirely true – I plan on writing my work report, updating blog content, spending quality time with my mom and getting well into a nice workout groove before life is shaken up once again, but I would definitely like to have some real down time as well.
I woke up pretty early after sleeping both the day and the night away yesterday, and even though I still felt tired and weak (weird?), I decided that I needed to start my workout groove, and get my butt to the gym.

Oh the way out the door I grabbed some honey pitted dates for energy, and hit up the 9:30 Body Pump class at a new gym location because my regular gym doesn’t have Body Pump on Monday mornings, boo. It wasn’t my favourite release ever (I like the new ones with pop music!) but it definitely got my blood flowing and I felt so much better afterwards. It definitely got my day off on the right foot!
I was absolutely starving when I got home, so I threw 1/3 cup oats + almond milk + water + 1/2 frozen banana on the stove and hopped in the shower while it cooked. Luckily it worked out perfectly without kitchen disasters, and I ended up with perfectly cooked oats and an extra speedy shower

I knew these oats were destined for this jar of macadamia nut butter.

They just fit in, and I topped them with some craisins, pecans and a sprinkle of coconut.

There was at least a tbsp or two of nut butter left at the bottom of the jar, and it was heavenly! It was almost like a fruit-bottom yogurt, except instead of fruit there was a layer of nut butter. Yum!

On my first bite, I tried to dig straight down to the good stuff, but due to lack of space in the container I ended up making a mess, and toppings were thrown every which way. Clearly I can’t be trusted to eat like an adult.
Plans for the day include:
- returning some dishes at Crate & Barrel to try and salvage my budget
- writing at least a page of my work report
- packing up the majority of my clothes
- possibly a nap
Catch you later!
